I've recently found out that I have been tagged on jojo's blog to list eight things about me. So here they are:
1. I literally ran into Kevin Bacon once. I was leaving my dorm at college to go to lunch, and I didn't watch where I was going and ran straight into him. Apparently he and his son were touring the campus. (and I must say, he his so much better looking onscreen)
2. I have never left North America.
3. I am a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Other members include Sheryl Crow, Laura Bush, Lynne Cheney, Joan Ganz Cooney (creator of Sesame Street), Kerri Strug, and Marlo Thomas.
4. I have two tattoos. One is a purple design that I drew myself and the other is a black and gold pansy. The black and gold pansy is my sorority's flower.
5. When I was four, I nearly drowned to death. Ever since then I do not go out in open water unless I can touch the ground or have a lifejacket on.
6. I've had an out of body experience. It was a hot summer day and my sister and I spent the day outside in the park wading in the river. (I had a lifejacket on) Apparently I had some sort of allergic reaction to something because first I started to break out in hives, then my whole body was swollen to about twice its size. As I was walking through the park back home I collapsed and fell to the ground. I got up and started walking again. But when I looked back, my body was still on the ground.
7. I eat green olives straight out of the jar.
8. I share my birthday with Vincent's ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz.

I think you are very brave to go anywhere near water after your experience. I have two cousins who had no such scare, and still won't go on anything but a VERY big boat.
I agree w/ Val on your bravery to still go near water after that happened to you. I also eat green olives out of the jar; I am addicted to the ones stuffed w/ garlic!!
When you ran into Kevin Bacon, did he introduce himself or did you just recognize him? Get an autograph?

I didn't realize who he was until a bit later. He just kinda shrugged it off and kept walking with the tour guide.
